Gatsby Dance Competition Final 2012

Thanks to Yx i got to work Gatsby Dance Competition :D

It was a good experience and my first time to actually help on stage to give out the prizes !! ^^

Super last minute event and was super rushy !

But then again, this kind of chance comes once in a lifetime :)

E outfit. IT WAS FREAKING LOOSE?!

Heard from the girls that it was supposed to be custom made.

Since i was the "replacement" girl... er seriously was the other girl that big size? LOL

i felt like i was wearing XXL on myself.

This must be the first time my hair was SO neat for event. total bun up and waxed.

Me, Yx and Feli :)

My first event with felicia . She is really a sweetie dear and i love the way she talks .Super feminine feel ~ Not like me..super kiddish feel =x=

The Clappers and 3 other pretty ladies :) The girl standing next to me seriously i think she looked like those
porcelain doll. COMPLIMENT KAE!

With Daniel as the emcee on stage, we were supposed to use our clappers and "flippers" to cheer on with the crowd. But since it's a dance competition, the supporters normally goes wild LOL!

And it seems that whatever event i do, Daniel always seems to be the emcee..

This is me going up stage to with the trophies. ITS HEAVY!!

My hand were trembling when i brought them up. i dared not walk fast ....i cant afford to pay for them if i drop them..and i think the consequences is unbearable too.

Whats more .. I AM HANDLING THE TROPHIES OVER TO THE DIRECTOR OF GATSBY! 0x0!

Thank god it was safely delivered to the winner :D

Congratulations to the Winners :D

They did awesome really ^^

Even the judges were entertained by them .

I could just say their choreographed dance stand out the most out of the teams.

I MISS DANCING! REALLY REALLY REALLY!~~

But i was kinda stunn at the award vs the performance..... This made me think that maybe suntec dance competition is more impressive. BUT!! STILL!!

Honestly and frankly speaking i shld be quite beat out yesterday. Judging from the fact that my schedule was SO packed yesterday.

Headed to SingPost to deliver a package (first time .. so i still feel abit insecure about the postage *cross fingers*). Then have to head straight over to work which was located in Choa chu kang.. EFFING FAR! SUPER FAR TcT. . . Oh well at least i had free meals there and free transport all the way to millenium walk. Save ALOT of money !!

The initial plan was to actually cab down from CCK to MW...and i also did made an advance booking which cost $8 for just that single booking. thank god i didnt board e cab LOL!

Surprised birthday dinner for Qin dear. HAPPY 21ST bday! Pictures to be uploaded once vian uploads it :).

*i hate it when i forget to bring my camera out...*

Anw i was so disappointed when we couldnt dine at boulevard despite e reservation. DAMM U SOCCER MATCH! should have make reservations at the two other outlet instead. Oh well...

It was a super meaty meal down at another bar - Paulaner Bräuhaus. Wasnt too bad. LOL. I was kinda 60% drunk when i met the girls. LOL. Strong alcohol smell. so NO alcohol for me during dinner. just shirley temple. hehex.

I NEVER WANT TO TOUCH WHISKY AGAIN!! IT SUCKS! BLEH!!!

Reach home feeling all beat out and thinking that i could have a good night sleep. BUT I WAS SO WRONG...

Today = BEST DAY :)

Despite the fact that something retarded happened in the morning.

Woke up at 5am and diligently went to bath. Was so proud of myself that i can wake up so early.

But halfway thru the shower i realize smth was amiss....Checked the time table..

my lesson was 12pm =x= IDOIT!

i was super confident i wouldnt be late for school....went back for a short nap and that was when.. i ended up still being late for sch @.@

Was thinking of whether not to go casting initially. but luckily i went :)

that cab fare was worth it!

the problem now is how to i makeup for my lessons... haish..

Dinner with yingqi @ Aston so i wouldnt have to eat lonely dinner hehe.

Dumb me forget to bring wallet out lor.

Not too bad at vocal class too. :) At least some of the missing chemistry and sparks was found back. Hope the bonding gets back again ^^

2 years in this line. But dont seem to make much progress except to be known as "one of the soldiac babe".

Of cos i made alot of friends along the way.

Thankfully, MOST of the girls are met are genuine ^^

But the industry is seriously getting from bad to WORSE!

Some "agency" can claim that the job is looking for "Talents" and "Models"

but the rate is so pathetic like $10-$15/hr....

Whahah of cos i am not saying that i deserve to get such high rates. This is like spreading around in the event industry. why are we paid higher rates?

The boss is EXTREMELY good with his customer's service.

They change their dessert menu quite often too :))

The chicken pie wasnt there when i last when!

And they have red velvet cake this time round.

Well, the whole of December wasn't very good for me. Family, friends etc.

I am kinda worried that my 2012 will be e same..

Maybe i need to see a fortune teller to change some of my luck.

1. As usual to hit my 43kg target (which i almost did hit last year!! almost)

2. Save like 5k before June so i can travel to Japan for my 21st Birthday

3. Improve on my social skills and be less narrow minded

4. REVAMPED MY DULL ROOM!

5. Get more connections into the entrepreneur world

6. Be fairer! and less tan =x=

7. No late nights for more than 3 times/week

8. Less cabbing / week

9. NO SKIPPING CLASSES!

10. No comparing with other people but just believe in myelf

11. Be a more DEDICATED blogger

12. Start planning hard for future and working on it!

13. Be a more loyal friend HAHAH

MERRY "Belated" CHRISTMAS!

I was working like a workaholic :x

Hence 2011 christmas wasnt as christmasy as always to me :(

Sorry to my friends out there who are anticipating my christmas card delivery... i failed my promise 2 years in a row :( (I even had friend who called up asking if i have mailed his card. Didnt know it meant something)

ANW! Finally an off-day and a nice walk in town for Christmas celebration ^^

Went Arteastiq for a lovely Hi-Tea (BUT I WAS FAMISHED FOR A MAIN COURSE!)

Anw, had always wanted to visit here, and since i am not paying so i have no say but to just dig in and enjoy :)

Due to me being super late for date as usual, my Hi-tea was pre-ordered on the phone haha!

They had special mixture of tea flavours with a combination of tea and flower.

Mine was "Earl Grey Lavender Tea"

THE SOUP IS AWESOME!

I kinda forgotten the name but it has this slight pepperish taste (my love).

The tiny sandwich tasted great too! I tot it would be just plain sandwich with ham and cheese. But it actually has this special sauce in it which i quite cant figure the taste.

End of Year Taiwan Trip

My 5th Trip to Taiwan. haha

If you do not have enuff budget to go Japan, pick TAIWAN!

Their culture and people are quite alike.

At Budget Terminal. My first flight with Tiger Airways

Waiting for boarding

Slept for the first 1 hr of the flight and played the game of LIFE on yingqi's i-touch for some entertainment.

The flight was pretty alright, not much of any jerkiness or whatever you spell it.

It was then bye bye Singapore and HELLO to Taiwan

We managed to NOT hail a cab to Taipei City but instead took a shuttle bus.

SUPER HARD to find the place..=x=

We went up and down back and forth and all of us starving like hell..

*try having ur first meal at 7am and not eating anything till 4pm

Well anyway Taiwanese has JAPANESE VIRTUAL TOO!

The counter lady and the security guards around the airport was so so nice!

Gave us all the direction and help us keep a lookout as to the timing to board the shuttle bus.

The tickets are quite cheap. NT90 / person. Around 4SGD

Remember to board the right bus! and pay attention to stops around you.

Our light-weighted luggage and the girls are discussing about the itinerary.
Seriously we just went there with like 50-50 planned. LOL.

It was nice air-conished weather in Taiwan. GOD how i LOVE the weather. 14 degree. Just nice and perfect :D
This time we didnt get to stay in Ximending as our trip was so last minute planned and taking in the fact that it was too, school holidays and we had a budget.
Stayed in a Hostel around Shilin Night market. Wasnt "that bad"... Well, there was a 7-ll under our hostel which we visit almost every single day.
There was once i even heard the counter guy telling his friend, "耶，她们又来了". LOL
Xuan say this reminded her of this taiwan commercial

hahaha. Super epic!

The blanket is sooooo COMFY!!! there's this nice fragrance on the blanket too!
*though e corridor stinks....*
Well its a very basic hostel in which each person pays like 20sgd per night.
There's hair-dryer, wifi (That works on-and-off), television, washing machine and has body shower provided.

Didnt bother to unpack our luggage.
Headed straight towards Shilin Night market for our dinner!!

There's this interesting sight at 剑谭 (place where Shilin Night Market is located)
It gets more happening and bustling during the night. but SUPER quiet in the day.

Tips: Find stalls that sells more than 1 popular dish or find two stalls of your interest that are just side by side. Easier to order too.

MUST HAVE DISH!

The size of the food are not very big so you can just order a few and share.
Dont eat too full at one stall!! Make sure you have enough space to sample more food.

The way the prepared it in taiwan is so different! LOVE the sauce.
They have it FRIED in Singapore... er..@.@

After a nice and filling dinner, its... SHOPPING TIME!
Headed to the shopping lane beside the night market and started buying.

1. Eyelashes (freaking cheap and SUPER comfortable!) You can buy them in bulks too. the pink ones are like NT100 = 4.40 SGD
2. Love white hoodie top at NT490 = SGD 21 (kinda ex but nvm)
3. Masks at NT490.

and my fave buy (which now i duno is at which corner of my room.. hais how i miss it)

Anw, i know throughout this trip not much picture was taken. to be honest this trip wasnt so exciting like the other time. haish..kinda sad. maybe the next time i go taiwan, i might visit 高雄，台中 and 垦丁 instead .
GOOD NEWS my luggage didnt went over-weight! haha it was just nice at 20kg. phew!

Sidetrack: by the way if you happen to check out early and have no place to put ur luggage, you can actually place them at a luggage storehouse down at 台北车站。 it cost around NT90 per luggage and you can put them there the whole day.

Well the next trip that i am hoping for: BACKPACKING TO TOKYO ON MY 21ST!

E weather wasnt that cold but just for the sake of nice cam-horing

My super light breakfast @ the hotel. E AUTHENTIC american breakfast: muffins, scrambled eggs, cereals, etc...

Here we are at Disneyland and prepare for the very first ride..

Goodbye to my fate with Canon-S series and HELLO to my new EPL3 ^^

Worked hard and saved hard to finally be able purchase the camera.

I hereby swear to protect it with my life :X

Love all its special arts that's embedded in the camera!

It has an awesome auto-focus too!

Bought it at $889 from TK Foto at Funan IT Mall.

It comes out with a

- 8GB memory card

- Camera bag

- Olympus voucher

- Olympus strap

- Pen series leather sticker

It comes in 4 different colors

Was stuck between the red and white .

Ended up going with the sexier color haha

i reckon i will dirty the white one :[

The screen can be flipped upwards or downwards. but i guess that will be a pretty useless function for me.

Was working at the tradeshow in suntec last week :)

I absolute LOVE this picture! No Photoshop no nothing. Slim and curvy right? looking like a Japanese doll.

In the end i still think i suit bangs more . :/ shows more of my personality.

I was freaking freezing throughout the 3 days of the show. They blasted the aircon as if it was F-R-E-E?!

Still pretty sorry to Albert for being late on the first day of the show.

Exam and working at the same time is no joke.

What's worse is that on the last day of the show i actually took up 2 jobs.

6 - 11 : Boulevard Babes

Attended Kidrobot for SWATCH event 2 weeks ago at Zouk (Rather dated post :/)

Well..to me it was a rather "boring" event.

Wore the new white dress that i got from Sashaxoxo !

Last Saturday headed down Orchard for a Soldiac PR Stunt.

It was like having 12 spongebobs patrolling down town. LOL

we were so YELLOW!!!

But lucky enuf we were offered a sample drink of minute maid .

We were supposed to go down the street, garner votes and creating awareness about the campaign that's going on.

Been on the hunt for natural beauty for the past weekends :)

Now i look like those perverts on the streets that goes around STARING at girls 0x0.

Its actually a competition held by Shokubutsu called..

''SHOKUBUTSU 我i自然美"

There's like $8000 worth of cash and prizes to be won.

Top prize = 1 canon legria , $3000 cash, 1 year supply of shokubutsu products and i-weekly magazine.

Not bad right! It's actually quite attractive :>

Its super hard to find when girls these days just spam make up on their face like cosmetics are very cheap.

It was super last min that i ended as the initial plan was canceled due to the unpredictable weather.

No school for the day but headed out early for Sol-diac babes 2nd event ^^

Its great when you are working with fun people! That gets you all perk up and energized for the activity!

Mummy bought alphabets biscuits for me haha!

I used to remember how these little biscuits are stored in big tin cans and sold at those old mama shop.

It was a pretty simple activity down at 7-11 headquarters where we were intro-ed to the fun and interesting district managers of 7-11.

Girls that were down today : Maio, Tanya, Yuting , Jewel and Me!

Had my econ test last saturday and was supposed to have a FULL day rest.

But in any case, i had a very last min casting.

Didnt know that Charles and keith was having a 70% off warehouse sales 0.0! *Screams*

Headed down to suntec to catch the grand finals of "Suntec Dance Battle 2011" held at the wealth of fountain.

IT WAS DRIZZLING! but the energy level from the crowd did not die down and were very supportive.
